  1. Who can list as an entertainer?


    An entertainer can be an individual or group that is committed to enhancing the lives of older adults through music, dance, variety, education or other leisure opportunities. If you are an entertainer and your category is not listed please contact We Entertain Seniors by phone on our toll free line at 1-866-988-2010 or via e-mail at to discuss the possibility of having your category added.

  3. How do I register to be an entertainer?


    There are 3 ways to register:
    • Phone: 1-866-988-2010
    • On-line: Complete the Sign Up Form
    • Mail: Fill out this Form and mail it to the address that is on the form.
      Just a reminder... If your entertainer profile page is going to have pictures and audio files we will have to determine a way for you to get them to us.
  4. What are my payment options?


    When you get to the end of the entertainer online registration process you will be given two payment options:
    1. Credit Card - Through PayPal, you do not need a PayPal Account and it is a very secure and easy process.

    2. Cheque/Money Order - Payable to "Canada Seniors Resource" and mail to We Entertain Seniors.
    Select the option that works best for you. If you pay through PayPal your profile will be displayed within 15 minutes of payment. If you pay by cheque your profile page will be displayed when We Entertainer Seniors receives your cheque. Customers that do not sign up online can pay by cheque or we can send you an invoice through PayPal if you wish to pay over the internet.
  5. When will my entertainer profile be displayed on the website?


    If you pay through PayPal your profile will be displayed within 15 minutes of payment. If you pay by cheque your profile will be displayed when We Entertainer Seniors receives your cheque.
  6. What personal information will be displayed on my entertainer profile page?


    The city & province in which you live, e-mail address and phone number will be displayed on your Entertainer Profile page. View a sample Entertainer Profile Page. The Contact information collected will not be given to any third party and is only used by We Entertain Seniors when necessary for following up with your account.
  7. Can an entertainer register in more than one category?


    An entertainer can not register their profile page in more then one category, however, they can have two completely different profiles under one account. For instance, if an entertainer is a solo musician and also plays in a band the entertainer can create two profile pages (one under Solo and one under Band), but the information in each profile MUST be different. During the initial registration entertainers have the option to register a second profile page at a reduced price. Entertainers that decide they want a second profile page after they have completed their initial registration need to call our toll free number at 1-866-988-2010 for assistance.
  8. What does it cost to register as an entertainer?


    View fee structure. Prices are in Canadian funds. All taxes are included in the prices listed.
  9. What if my entertainer category is not listed?


    If your entertainer category is not listed then please call our toll free line at 1-866-988-2010 or e-mail us at and we can discuss the possibility of having it added.
  10. How do I change my contact information?


    Registered entertainers can LOGIN, click on "Edit" and change their e-mail address and phone number. Make sure you "Save Changes". You are not able to change your own mailing address so please call our toll free line at 1-866-988-2010 or e-mail us at and we will be happy to change it for you.
  11. How do I change the details on my profile page?

    • LOGIN to your account on WeEntertainSeniors.com
    • From your 'Welcome Page' click on "Edit"
    • Everything you can change is now on your screen
    • Make sure you click on "Save Changes to Profile" after you make any changes
    • More specific details about adding audio files, pictures, etc can be found in FAQ's that follow
  12. How do I put a YouTube VIDEO on my profile page?

    • Go to www.YouTube.com and bring up your video
    • Copy your YouTube URL from the address bar of your browser.
    • It will look like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRkBSae_7kI
    • When you click on the white box the letters will go blue. Right click on your mouse and select "copy"
    • LOGIN to your account on WeEntertainSeniors.com
    • From your "Welcome Page" click on "Edit"
    • Take all the words out of the white text box to the right of "YouTube URL:"
    • Right click in the white text box and select "paste"
    • Click on "Save Changes to Profile"
    • Call We Entertain Seniors at 1-866-988-2010 if you require assistance
  13. What audio and image file types can I upload to my profile?


    We accept one .mp3 audio files up to 5MB in size. We accept one .jpg image files up to 1MB in size. Please note that your image will be resized to 250 pixels wide to fit the Profile page.
  14. How do I put a PICTURE on my profile page?

    • LOGIN to your account on WeEntertainSeniors.com
    • From your 'Welcome Page' click on "Edit"
    • Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Upload/edit photo"
    • Click on "Choose File"
    • Find the picture you want to add (max 2mb .jpg file)
    • Click on "Choose"
    • Click on "Upload New Photo"
    • Refresh you page so your picture appears on your page
  15. How do I put an AUDIO file on my profile page?

    • LOGIN to your account on WeEntertainSeniors.com
    • From your 'Welcome Page' click on "Edit"
    • Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Upload/edit audio"
    • Click on "Choose File"
    • Find the audio file you want to add (max 5mb mp3 file)
    • Click on "Choose"
    • Click on "Upload New Audio File"
    • Refresh you page so your audio file appears on your page
  16. What are THEME SHOWS and how do I get my profile page listed under specific themes?


    Seniors' Activity Coordinators often plan their events around holidays or themes. To simplify their search for specific entertainers we created a list that allows them to click on a theme to see all the entertainer (in their province) who are able to provide that type of show. To indicate that you are able to perform specific theme shows you need to follow the steps below:
    • LOGIN
    • From your "Welcome Page" click on "Edit"
    • Scroll down to the bottom of the page
    • Click on "Add/Edit one hour Theme Shows"
    • Put a check mark in the box of all the theme shows you are able to perform
    • Click on "Save Changes to Themes"
  17. What questions do the Activity Coordinators answer to leave me a star rating?


    An entertainer can receive 1-5 stars (one being the lowest to five being the highest) for each of the questions below. Each Activity Coordinator rating is then calculated with all your other ratings to determine your overall star rating. An Activity Coordinator must answer all five of the questions below to leave you a star rating:
    • Was the Entertainer / Service Provider prepared and ready at the scheduled time?
    • Did the Entertainer / Service Provider interact well with you and the seniors?
    • Was the performance / service appropriate for Seniors?
    • Did the Entertainer / Service Provider dress appropriate for the venue?
    • Would you hire this Entertainer / Service Provider again?
  18. How do I get REVIEWS on my profile page?


    Only members of the Activity Coordinator Community can login and leave you a review on your profile page. Membership is free for Activity Coordinators so if one of the facilities where you work is not listed we recommend that you tell them about the website and ask them to sign up and leave you a review. Below are the instructions that Activity Coordinators must follow to leave you a review:
    • LOGIN
    • Click on "Read/Submit Entertainer Reviews"
    • Enter the Entertainer's first name, last name or at least one word of their performer name into the text box that says: "Search for a Specific Entertainer, Enter a Name:"
    • Look for and click on the Entertainer's performer name that appears in the list under the left navigation
    • Click on "Submit a Review" above the Entertainer's written paragraph
    • Enter your review into the empty box to the right of the screen
    • Click on the box that says "Submit Review" to post it to the entertainers page
  19. Can 'We Entertain Seniors' add reviews to my profile page?


    We prefer that Activity Coordinators leave their own reviews on your profile page by signing up and logging on to their own account. However, if you have a review that was e-mailed to you from a Seniors' Activity Coordinator (no reviews from general public please) you need to get permission via e-mail from the Activity Coordinator who sent it to you. Please make sure that they know that their name and facility name will be on the review that is posted on We Entertain Seniors. The e-mail that shows that they have given us permission to add it to your profile page can be e-mailed to and we will add it to your page.
  20. How do I see the reviews that have been left on my profile page?


    You need to LOGIN and click on the word "VIEW". You will see your profile page the same way that an Activity Coordinators does when they login and look at your page.
  21. How do I get STAR RATINGS on my profile page?


    Only members of the Activity Coordinator Community can login and leave you a star rating. Below are the instructions that Activity Coordinators must follow to leave you a review:
    • LOGIN
    • Click on "Read/Submit Entertainer Reviews"
    • Enter the Entertainer's first name, last name or at least one word of their performer name into the text box that says: "Search for a Specific Entertainer, Enter a Name:"
    • Look for and click on the Entertainer's performer name that appears in the list under the left navigation
    • Click on "Submit a Star Rating" which is below the Entertainer's written paragraph
    • A 'pop up' will appear with a list of questions for you to answer with 1-5 stars
    • When you have answered all five questions click on the box that says "Submit"
  22. How do I see the Star Ratings that have been left on my profile page?


    Anyone looking at your profile page can see your star ratings so you just need to look at your profile to see them. If you are logged in you will see them below your written paragraph when you click on the word "VIEW" from your "Welcome page".
  23. Where does the list "Who hires our Entertainers" come from?


    In the website navigation there is a menu option that says "Who hires our Entertainers" . This list is generated from our database of Activity Coordinators who have join the Activity Coordinator Community on WeEntertainSeniors.com. They join to be able to see the entertainers' price range, have the ability to read and write entertainer reviews and give star ratings.
  24. What if I want to add more phone numbers to my entertainer profile?


    Add additional contact information to the written description in your profile.
